Mando brings sweat control to Fortnite.
Opportunity: Increase awareness of Mando’s new anti-perspirant, “sweat control” line for Gen Alpha, Gen Z, and Millenial men.
Tension: The gym isn’t the only place our audience faces sweat. They do in Fortnite, too, where a “sweat” is an overly aggressive/competitive player.
Insight: Sweat messes with your game. Literally. Physical sweats and Fortnite sweats share more than just a name. They both threaten your confidence.
Idea: Mando has created a one-of-a-kind (literal) sweat controller designed to slow down the single “sweatiest” player.
Modified with a sensors, the sweat controller can detect palms sweating from playing too aggressively.
The campaign will conduct a search for this player.
It then applies a handicap to the gameplay, taking power from this “sweat” and giving confidence back to our audience.
Phase 1: Experiential/OOH
An pop-up will be held at an in-person Fortnite tournament, allowing attendees to test out the controller. Moments of frustration will become shareable clips.
Meanwhile, OOH’s advertising the collaboration will appear in retail stores selling Mando.
Phase 2: Digital Activation
Twitch
Discord
Phase 3: User-Generated-Content
Giving users a chance to submit their own clips even beyond the hero execution will allow for sustained engagement.
Phase 4: Hero Execution
The top ten “sweatiest” submissions are chosen to compete live online, hosted by renowned Fortnite streamer, SypherPK. The winner is awarded the controller.
